Once again, we are talking about a new benchmark. The professional wing combines performance-oriented dynamics with extremely precise handling – “all it takes is a little push”. The Joker defies the laws and maintains the high canopy pressure between maneuvers. This is ensured by the valves developed by U-Turn on the bottom sail (PBV) in combination with the pressure-optimized geometry of the leading edge. Despite the high dynamics, the Joker has balanced canopy harmony, which is why the reactions are correspondingly controlled.

The wing not only performs very smoothly in all acro maneuvers, but also scores particularly well in the connections. Thanks to the high dynamics and turning speed of the wing, the maneuvers can be precisely transitioned and combined. The response is direct and very precise, yet the wing is forgiving if the timing is not right. The compact wing has a high internal pressure with minimal control delay and still provides gentle feedback. In particular, the pressure on the stabilizers has been optimized several times and creates the basis for the outstanding turning characteristics in all negative manoeuvres. The Joker is optimized for new school and twisted tricks, internally offset accelerator pulleys and high-quality covered risers ensure maximum pilot comfort. The Joker is aimed at ambitious acro pilots and competition pros who want to score points with high dynamics and fast connections. Joker NX: Next generation dynamics

For the leading edge of the latest JOKER Edition, acro designer legend Ernst Strobl relies on the modernized high-tech design typical of U-Turn with pressure-optimized opening sizes and the reinforced Precision Profile Nose (PPN) with Nitinol alloys to optimize the airflow in the nose area. The PPN+ also keeps the individual cells in shape and ensures air intake by means of wafer-thin Nitinol wires incorporated centrally over the openings. – In combination with the valves in the bottom sail, this is a pure dynamic weapon. The additional ventilation provided by the Pressure Balance Valves (PBV) in the lower sail is an innovative invention from U-Turn. The PBV provides the wing with the necessary dynamic pressure even at unfavorable angles of attack and thus offers a higher tolerance range at extreme angles of attack in aerobatics. The High Pressure Crossport Design (HPCD) with internal valves optimizes the cross ventilation for a constant internal pressure of the wing. All attachment points are reinforced several times. As with all U-Turn acro wings, the Joker is also equipped with the Stabilo Security Function (SSF) to quickly release any hang-ups.

Joker NX: Maintaining precise flight characteristics under extreme loads

The Joker has a very high-quality finish and is designed for durability under extreme loads. The numerous innovations and reinforcements require a very complex production process. U-Turn also uses the latest generation of the Thriller PX40 fabric, which has been further developed over the years, for the Joker. Only materials that have withstood the toughest long-term tests and can boast the best values are used. But everything is also done to ensure longevity and shape retention, including multiple reinforced seams and reinforcements on all line suspensions and V-tapes. The line connections are equipped with Line Loop Protection (LLP). A Kevlar core is inserted into the connection flap, which also prevents the line forks from snagging.
